MTSU and WKU blood drive set for Nov. 2-4 in Murfreesboro

MTSU Athletics announced the 100 Miles of Hope blood drive will run Nov. 2-4 at the university’s Rec Center in Murfreesboro.

Middle Tennessee State University Athletics says MTSU and Western Kentucky University will hold their annual 100 Miles of Hope blood drive Nov. 2-4 at MTSU’s Rec Center in Murfreesboro, ahead of the schools’ Nov. 7 football game.

The university said donations will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day at 1848 Blue Raider Drive. Donors should provide sponsor code MTSU, according to the announcement.

MTSU Athletics said donors will receive a commemorative T-shirt, a $10 Amazon eGift Card, pizza and four tickets to the Blue Raiders’ Nov. 28 game against New Mexico State.

Those seeking an appointment can call 1-800-RED-CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or use the Blood Donor App and enter code MTSU, the university said. Donors must bring a blood donor card, driver’s license or two other forms of identification, according to the announcement.

The Blood Battle winner will be announced at the Nov. 7 game, where the American Red Cross will present the trophy to the winning school, MTSU Athletics said.
