Middle Tennessee State University Athletics reported Sunday, Oct. 4, that the Blue Raiders men’s golf team stood seventh after the second round of the Blessings Collegiate Invitational in Johnson, Arkansas. The team was 39 over par overall, three strokes behind sixth-place Little Rock, according to the university.

Maddox Crowder was the highest-ranked Blue Raider, tied for 10th at four over par after a five-over round, the announcement said. Clay Pendergrass shot a two-over 74, including three birdies and no bogeys on the back nine, and led the team for the day.

Connoer Henry and Stiles Hunter each carded rounds of 10 over par. Henry was tied for 31st, while Hunter was tied for 36th at 14 over for the tournament, according to MTSU Athletics. Jake Hopper shot an 11-over 83 and was tied for 43rd at 17 over.

The university said the tournament’s final round was scheduled for Monday morning, Oct. 5. Tee-time groupings were to be announced on the team’s social media accounts.
