The city said the Solid Waste Department will be closed that day. Wednesday’s collection service will move to Thursday, and Thursday’s service will move to Friday, according to the announcement.
Murfreesboro Transit will not run on Veterans Day, the city said. The city’s Old Fort and Bloomfield Links golf courses will be open during regular hours, weather permitting, and the Adams Tennis Complex will also be open, according to the notice.
Other Parks and Recreation facilities will close, the city said. Those closures include McFadden Community Center, Sports*Com, Wilderness Station, Cannonsburgh, Bradley Academy Museum, Patterson Park Community Center and St. Clair Street Senior Center.
The Parks and Recreation Department’s main office, at 2140 N. Thompson Lane, will also be closed Nov. 11, the city said. The announcement does not give a reopening time or list a contact for questions about the holiday schedule.
